Hip Replacement Recall Attorneys

If you or someone you know has had a hip replacement operation after 2003 your health may be threatened and you may be entitled to financial compensation. If you have a hip replacement that is causing you swelling, bone fractures, tumors and severe pain, contact an attorney experienced with these types of personal injury cases.

On August 26th 2010 the FDA announced that a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson, Depuy Orthopedics recalled 93,000 hip implants. It is determined that up to 13% of the implants must be replaced. If you are experiencing:

  • Pain when first standing up
  • Hip and groin pain
  • trouble walking

Get Your Medical Records if You are Not Sure

If you received one of these Depuy hip replacements you should have received a letter saying your hip implant has been recalled. If you have not received a letter it does not necessarily mean that your hip has not been recalled. If you are concerned that you may have received one of these metal to metal hip replacements, get your records from the hospital and contact an attorney who specializes in this type of case.
